About this live event

This continuing education event teaches participants basic theories and skills of Play Therapy Supervision. Participants will learn methods and skills of assessment and development of supervisee competency and learning. Participants will review APT's Standards for Registered Play Therapist- Supervisors and learn a developmental framework for conceptualizing the supervision process. Participants will learn through lecture, video demonstration, interactive practice, case review, and large group discussion. Completion of a Post-test and Evaluation is required for participants to receive CE credit.

Learning Objectives

1. Differentiate Play Therapy Supervision from other forms of clinical supervision.

2. Describe the ethical responsibilities and duties of Play Therapy Supervisors.

3. Create documentation policies that adhere to best practices for supervision.

4. Describe theoretical models informing the process of Play Therapy Supervision.

5. Practice use of Play Therapy Supervision skills and technique.

6. Apply Play Therapy Supervision skills to case examples.
