About this live event
This continuing education event teaches participants a theoretical framework for integrating different Play Therapy theories and skills into a coherent practice approach. Presentation also reviews termination guidelines, skills, and approaches from an integrative theoretical Play Therapy perspective. Participants will review core Play Therapy theories and use self-reflection skills to monitor treatment progress and adjust orientation as necessary to achieve treatment goals. Participants will learn through lecture, video demonstration, interactive practice, case review, and large group discussion. Completion of a Post-Test and Evaluation is required for participants to receive CE credit.
Learning Objectives
1. Differentiate and Review core Play Therapy theories.
2. Apply Integrative Play Therapy theory to conceptualize clients.
3. Discuss strategies for integrating Play Therapy theories and approaches into treatment with intention.
4. Identify signs that a change of Play Therapy approach or treatment approach may be warranted or necessary.
5. Plan for how to change theoretical direction with coherent rationale to achieve child treatment goals.
6. Discuss termination process and techniques for effective terminations.
