About this live event

(Part 3 of 3) This continuing education event teaches participants clinical practice skills related to Child-Centered Play Therapy including how to identify and recognize play themes and how to communicate effectively with parents about Play Therapy. Participants will also learn the theoretical specifications for documenting play therapy sessions and constructing effective Play Therapy treatment plans. Participants will receive live practice and coaching in the practice child-centered play therapy skills. Completion of a Post-test and Evaluation is required for participants to receive CE credit.

Learning Objectives

1. Practice skills for effective Child Centered Play Therapy.

2. List best-practice methods for documentation of Play Therapy sessions.

3. Demonstrate ability to ethically document Play Therapy sessions and progress ethically.

4. Demonstrate ability to construct a Child-Centered Play Therapy treatment plan.

5. Explain how to effectively communicate treatment information to parents and caregivers of clients receiving Child Centered Play Therapy.

6. Identify how to adapt child-centered play therapy approach to achieve treatment goals.
