About this live event

This continuing education teaches participants the theory, skills, and methods of Family Play Therapy. It reviews the key tenets of family systems theory used to conceptualize family systems. Participants will learn creative Play Therapy based interventions for facilitating Family Play Therapy and conceptualize cases from a Family Play Therapy perspective. Participants will practice Family Play Therapy skills and interventions in an interactive learning format. Completion of a Post-test and Evaluation is required for participants to receive CE credit.

Learning Objectives

1. Identify the core theoretical concepts of Family Systems Theory.

2. Describe the theoretical foundations of Family Play Therapy.

3. Apply Family Play Therapy skills to practice.

4. Demonstrate basic knowledge of Family Play Therapy methods and skills.

5. Describe how Family Play Therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to engage multiple family members of different ages and different levels in the therapeutic process.

6. Assess when Family Play Therapy interventions are appropriate interventions to achieve client treatment goals.
