Fort Bend County Scholarship Application

A Time for Play is excited to offer a scholarship to a resident and mental health therapist in Fort Bend County to attend the Season 8 Play Therapy training (Fall 2026 – Spring 2027). This scholarship grants the recipient free entry into all 20 in-person training courses and allows the recipient to complete homework assignments to earn a full 150 hours of Play Therapy specific education. The scholarship also includes 35 complimentary Play Therapy Supervision sessions.

A Time for Play recognizes the community needs for greater access to Play Therapy and children’s mental health services. The primary aim of this scholarship is to improve capacity and accessibility to pediatric mental health services in Fort Bend County. Scholarship applicants should describe how they will use this scholarship opportunity to provide Play Therapy services to clients and families in need in Fort Bend County.

Scholarship Requirements

• Applicant must be a resident of Fort Bend County

• Applicant must be a licensed mental health professional

• Applicant must work in a nonprofit organization that serves Fort Bend County area

• Applicant must agree to attend the full program (with employer approval)

• Applicant must agree to provide Play Therapy services to Fort Bend County residents while in the program

• Applicant must agree to participate in 35 hours of Play Therapy supervision

• Applicant must submit a copy of their university transcripts (see below)

• Applicant must submit a copy of their resume for review (see below)

• Applicant must submit an application online (see below)
